Students continue to do a good job with all subjects.
In reasoning minds we are covering topics such as capacity and volume. The students are also learning about weights, pounds, cups, pints, and gallons. The students are learning about step by step solutions for 2-step problems. They have learned vocabulary words: vertex, vertices, and quadralaterals. We just finished our unit on 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional shapes and the terms associated with these. Students like working in their new Math books. Homework is assigned for Monday - Thursday.
Students may bring in Valentines on Valentine's day to pass to eachother. Make sure you have one for each student in class. Parents have Reconcilliation sign up meeting on Feb. 11th. A note was sent home regarding this meeting. Just a reminder!
Spelling words for the February 15th test are /er/ words.
Spelling words for the February 22nd test are /ee/ and /ea/ form words. Students have lists in their student notebook.
Please remember that we have a long weekend for President's day.
